XAT 2012 – Paper Pattern

XAT is generally scheduled on the first Sunday of January, every year. The paper pattern is usually modified from time to time. This year, there have been few changes like:

  • The questions will have five options instead of four options.
  • Introduction of questions on ‘Management Decision Making’ involving Case studies.
  • Certain questions in the Logical Reasoning section having true/false statements are also removed.

Traditionally, the XAT paper is segregated into three main sections commonly known as:

  • English
  • Reasoning & Quantitative Aptitude
  • General Awareness
